CHUMS

The CHUMS Trauma Service supports children and young people who are bereaved in a particularly traumatic way, commonly by murder, suicide, a road crash or other sudden or multiple deaths in the family. The service receives around 60 referrals a year and the children are offered 1:1 support leading to a decrease in their distress and an increase in their functioning. CHUMS also supports children and young people across 11 other mental health and emotional wellbeing services which amount to over 2,500 referrals a year.
